Rides posted up on this website are suggestions to come along and join in rather than organised 'led' rides and cyclists joining them are fully responsible for themselves.

Is there a group ride on Saturday as the Dumfries sportive is on Sunday.

Route. Gelston, Dalbeattie, Haugh (coffee), Old Bridge of Urr, Clarebrand, Laurieston, Kirkcudbright.
Return route can be changed. Additional route via Gatehouse for those feeling fit.

We can then organise transport. Departure time on Saturday is 7 am in order to catch the 9.45 ferry from Ardrossan.

Out to Palnackie for coffee and return. Extra loop possible for those feeling strong!
Next week is the group outing. Please confirm if you are going. We have been in touch with Calmac and there is a little doubt about the ferry. If there is a problem plan "B" is to start in Newton Stewart cycle round the Machars ( 60 miles) with lunch at Portwilliam.
John Carson has checked this route and whilst not hill free, it is relatively flat!!

or a shorter route home. Coffee in New Galloway
The "couriers" have decided Saturday 5th May is the best date for Arran ride. Hope you can make it. We should have space for about 15 in three vans.

Route via Bridge of Dee to Clarebrand, Milton. Scones at the Haugh. Back via CD or Palnackie for those wishing a longer ride.
